Not to be outshone by the Tales of Ciel, the first novel in The Compact Cycle is now available to pre-order in Amazon Ebook, with the Hardcover and Trade Paperback likely to pop up any day now. All versions of the book have officially gone gold and are now out of my hands.

Not an epic fantasy, but not hard sci-fi, either. The Compact Cycle sits comfortably on the space opera shelf, where it blends best with books like Star Wars, Dune, The Sun Eater, and Children of Time. Because I seem pathologically incapable of limiting myself to one genre, The Compact Cycle also draws some inspiration from political and espionage thrillers like the works of John le Carre.
