In the modern publishing ecosystem, readers and influencers command the conversation. They are the primal forces pushing and pulling our book culture, but that doesn’t mean traditional trade media is entirely irrelevant. Locus Magazine is one of the oldest and most respected genre publications in the world, and last week, the editorial staff chose Seven Days of Mercy for the Apostatic Priest to spotlight on their website and social media feeds. This is the most significant piece of earned media that HTP has landed since the November publication of Ardent Wings on Jealous Skies. It’s especially exciting for me as a longtime reader of Locus.
Here’s the spot they put up on their various feeds.
Locus also added Seven Days of Mercy to their Bookshop.org storefront , which resulted in a notable uptick in sales for the Trade Paperback last week. A big thanks to the Locus team for recognizing the story’s merit and choosing us to amplify.
