Pre-Orders for the win: Seven Days of Mercy for the Apostatic Priest briefly claimed the mantle of our fastest-selling title in pre-orders last week. It was supplanted over the weekend by Ophiuchus Flinched, which continues to make gains. I am very excited that YOU are very excited about the second book in the Tales of Ciel.
Ophiuchus Flinched: Tweaks to the cover design are now approved and executed with the printer. Props to series artist Zefanya Maega for turning these around so quickly. The book now looks as beautiful as it should in physical form, and I can’t wait for y’all to add it to your bookshelves. You can pre-order Book 2 in the Tales of Ciel wherever books are sold. Help us keep the momentum, and be among the first readers to continue their journey through the uncanny skies.
2026 Appearance Schedule: Our publication schedule isn’t the only calendar getting a revamp for 2026. I’m working with my PR consultants on an aggressive appearance schedule, pushing as hard as life permits. More specific announcements will be forthcoming, but we’re currently circling 5 industry conferences to attend this year to sell books and promote HTP. We have a few readings in the planning stages, as well. If you live in the upper midwest, you should be able to catch me in the flesh on three mini-tours in support of The Mark of Cain (Tales of Ciel 3), The Politics of Fear (Compact Cycle 1), and The Girl Who Woke the Moon (Shattered 1). Dates in April, July, and September, respectively.
