The Art of The Divine Heretic Series

Ruxindra Tarot portrait

The sword and sorcery genre has always been synonymous with the rich, kinetic paintings of artists like Frank Frazetta and Michael Whelan. It’s hard to separate those early pulp stories from the artwork that came to define the aesthetic. In the spirit of the classics that inspired The Divine Heretic series, I hope to foster a similar multimedia ecosystem around Ruxindra and the world of Hebdomar.

You’ve already seen some of Aicel Escalada’s evocative cover art (and we’ve got some more coming soon).

Now, we’ve got three new character portraits to add to the IP, authorized paintings created by digital artist Skorpi in her signature Tarot style. I fell for Skorpi’s fantasy artwork at first glance, and I think the Tarot treatment is a good match for the series. Feast your eyes on these:

Much more to come from here (and we’re always looking to highlight fanart, so send ’em if you got ’em).
