It’s time. Last week, series artist Dusan Markovic put the finishing touches on the cover art for our upcoming foray into science fiction. The Politics of Fear represents a divergence from our first two releases–both in terms of genre and writing style. The first book in The Compact Cycle will also be our first Hardcover release. IMHO, Dusan knocked this project out of the park. Eye candy incoming:

The Politics of Fear will be available in Ebook, Hardcover, and Trade Paperback on July 7, 2026. The economics of publishing a Hardcover resulted in a pretty steep retail price, so we decided to launch the TP at the same time to service readers who prefer a physical book, but don’t want to empty their wallets to get one. This is one area where big publishers have a distinct advantage over indies. If you have the capacity to print in bulk and hold inventory, you can achieve some economies of scale that make Hardcover publishing more economical. For those of us using PoD services, high unit costs are unavoidable.
