I need to take a moment to sing the praises of series artist Zefanya Maega. I found Zefanya’s work on DeviantArt, and they’ve exceeded my expectations in every regard with this project. The front cover is the single most important piece of marketing for a new novel from a new writer and a new press. Thankfully, I think Zefanya’s work will really jump off the shelf (and the Amazon product page).

With this box ticked, Ardent Wings is off to the printer. That means I’ve officially given up the ability to make any tweaks to the manuscript. That’s very anxiety producing! But this book has been through so many editorial hands and so many rounds of revision, that it was time to let it go. You can make yourself crazy moving commas around until the heat death of the universe, but at a certain point, the book just has to be done.
